With support from BEF, the BASE Rocks After School music club flourished. Funds made it possible to purchase new instruments, giving students the chance to practice, learn, grow, and share their music with others.
The club met weekly after school, while many students also took advantage of lunch and prep periods to refine their skills. Interest spread quickly, especially among younger students, and attendance remained strong. Over the course of the year, the club performed three times, working hard to make meaningful progress before each event. Thanks to BEF’s investment, students performed at the Anthology Retirement Community in December 2024 and again in March 2025 with an entirely new set of songs. The retirement community was so delighted, they invited the students back next year.
Excitement grew on campus as well, with a lunchtime performance in the quad that showcased student musicians and earned them well-deserved recognition. With every performance, students’ confidence, leadership, and enthusiasm for music grew.
