This project-based learning experience empowers students to explore the impacts of energy production while building the technical skills needed for Oregon’s growing clean energy workforce.
Growing Student-Run Businesses in Beaverton high schools

BEF empowers student-run businesses that are part of many Career Technical Education (CTE) programs offered in high schools. With seed funding from BEF, businesses were able to purchase new equipment and supplies so students could learn through hands-on experiences, develop business acumen, and explore future career pathways.

Genentech supports K-12 STEM education in Beaverton schools, working with BEF to expand access to hands-on learning opportunities for students in science, technology, engineering and math.
BASE Rocks Afterschool Music Club

During the 2024-2025 school year, BEF’s support launched an afterschool club that focused on creativity and music at this predominantly STEM option school.
Middle School Summer Band Camp

BEF makes Middle School Summer Band Camp affordable for everyone by providing financial support that served 240 students this summer with a two-week intensive musical experience.
