Middle School Summer Band Camp
BEF makes Middle School Summer Band Camp affordable for everyone by providing financial support that served 240 students this summer with a two-week intensive musical experience.
After School Reading Enrichment Program
BEF invested in core academics at Montclair Elementary School, and as a result students made tremendous progress in their reading and writing abilities. Over the course of three months from January to March 2025, BEF supported readers after school to improve proficiency. This approach of finding ways to support students after school or during the summer is a key role for BEF to help students get a good start to education.
Mural Project
BEF invested in hand on, experiential learning at Ridgewood Elementary School, helping students to broaden their perspectives and build community through art over a year-long project to design a welcome mural in the school entrance.
Sunset HS Cram and Jam Homework Club
The partnership between Sunset High School and the Beaverton Education Foundation (BEF) is built on a shared commitment to helping students navigate the critical transition into high school. Now, with the creation of the Sunset High School Success Initiative, funds will sustain and grow efforts to keep 9th graders on track to graduate.
Summer Boost
Summer reading is in the bag! BEF supports summer reading for striving elementary school students through our Summer Boost program. Students get to pick out 10 brand new, high interest books to take home and read. They return to school in the fall more enthusiastic and confident readers.
