Thanks to the Rotary Club of Beaverton, 600 low-income students went home this summer with a bag full of new, high interest books to encourage a love of reading.  The local Rotary Club gave BEF a grant of $5,000 that helped us buy thousands of books for the Summer Boost summer reading program. Special thanks are in order to Rotary volunteers Bill, Bob, Greg, Tom and Shawn who came out to Fir Grove Elementary School in June 2025 to put together the Summer Boost “shopping event.”
