Thank you, BEF Board Chair Chris Prahl

As Chris transitions from Board Chair to Past Chair, he remains a committed member of the BEF board.  His network, his energy, and his belief in what public education can do for students will continue to guide BEF in the years ahead. BEF is grateful for Chris' leadership and for always showing up, building bridges, and leaving things better than he found them.

When Chris Prahl joined the Beaverton Education Foundation board, he brought a personal, lived connection to the BEF community. Chris and his wife Mandy are both Beaverton High School graduates (Chris is a former student body president!), and their children now attend school in the same district their parents grew up in. Chris shares a lasting connection to Beaverton’s students, and it shows in how he leads.

For the past year, Chris brought the same values to the role of BEF Board Chair as he carries into his professional role at Gamut Project Solutions. Chris leads with a collaborative instinct and an unwavering commitment to delivering the best results possible. With over a decade of leadership in construction and project management, and credentials including DBIA certification and LEED AP, Chris operates at the intersection of vision and execution.

“Chris doesn’t hesitate to jump right in and get to work,” says Lauren Garrett, BEF Executive Director. “He thoughtfully analyzes situations, seeks to find creative solutions, and looks for a way for everyone to win. He truly cares about the Beaverton community, and we are so fortunate to have had him building awareness of BEF and our support for BSD students and staff.”
